How to use

Choose a product photo from your device. The remover runs locally (WASM/WebGL when available) and shows a preview you can download as PNG with transparency.

Use clean edge results on white-background marketplaces or lifestyle crops. First use may download a model from a CDN — see Privacy for details. Unsupported browsers get a clear error instead of a silent fail.

How the numbers work

  • Input image is read in the browser; Merqly does not receive the file on its servers.
  • Matting model may download from a third-party CDN on first run.
  • Output is a transparent PNG suitable for listing overlays.
  • Quality depends on subject contrast, resolution, and device GPU/WASM support.

FAQ

Do you store my product photos?

Merqly does not upload images to its servers for this tool. Processing is designed to stay on your device.

Why did the model download something?

The segmentation model can be large. A first-run CDN fetch is expected; afterward your browser may cache it.

What if WebGL is blocked?

You will see an error state. Try another browser or device that allows WASM/WebGL for best results.
