Plug in retail price, blank + print cost from your provider, and platform fees (Etsy, Shopify payments, Amazon, etc.). Add shipping subsidies or returns if they hit your P&L.
Iterate on price and product mix until unit economics clear your goal. Provider price lists change — refresh base costs when your POD partner updates catalogs.
How the numbers work
- Base cost = blank + print/decoration fee from the provider quote.
- Platform fee ≈ price × take rate (+ listing or payment flats if used).
- Shipping impact = shipping you pay − shipping charged to the buyer.
- Profit ≈ price − base cost − platform fee − shipping impact − other.

Should mockup or design tool subscriptions count?
Allocate a per-order share of design tools into other costs if those apps are required to sell the SKU.
How do bundles or multi-item carts work?
Run the calculator per line or average blended cost; do not assume one print fee covers every item in a bundle.
Are provider volume discounts included?
Only if you enter the discounted base cost. Defaults are single-unit planning numbers you can override.
