How to use
Fill in sale price, item cost, and the fee percentages or flat amounts that match your store category and insertion strategy. Adjust shipping cost if you offer free shipping or undercharge postage.
Scan the net profit and margin. Raise price, trim cost, or rethink promoted-listings spend until the deal clears your target — then confirm fees in eBay Seller Hub before scaling.
How the numbers work
- Final value fee ≈ sale price × FVF rate (+ optional per-order fee if you model one).
- Payment / managed payments cost ≈ price × processing rate + flat fee when used.
- Promoted Listings cost ≈ price × ad rate when ads are on.
- Net ≈ price − cost − FVF − payment − ads − shipping you absorb − other.
- Fee schedules and store levels change; not official eBay guidance.
FAQ
Are international or regulated category fees included?
Only if you enter them. Defaults target a typical US consumer category; add extras in the other-fees field for regulated or cross-border listings.
How should I handle free shipping?
Put the postage you pay into shipping absorbed. The calculator subtracts that cost so “free shipping” does not hide margin loss.
Is this synced with my eBay store subscription?
No. Merqly runs locally with your inputs. Compare results to eBay’s fee tables for your store level and category.
